Do It Right Sports at Lake Lynn
Robert Allen Gibson with the help of Tennis Analytics evaluation tool (Boomer) is trying to put together a national level team (3 top boys and 3 top Girls comprise a National level 14 Under Silver Gold required to play singles and doubles) in the Raleigh, Cary, Morrisville area. He has set up a Tennis course that uses Tennis Analytics in the training of the players, for 12 – 48 students in each of the following brackets (12 students per class each day 1 to 4 days a week for 7 weeks) . 10 and under, 12 and Under, 14 and under and 3.0 or higher. The courses will be run out of Lake Lynn Tennis Center, 7921 Ray Rd. Raleigh, NC 27613 from 4:00pm – 10:00pm. Captains/Coaches: there are potientaly 4 teams able to be built out of each of these classes, if you think your team could use some of the lessons taught as well as the analytics, have your students sign up. The goal is to get Raleigh/Cary/Morrisville recognized on the national tennis circut as a great tennis training area with execllent clubs and tennis facilities in 2015. Designed for junior tennis players so that they can get in the practices need to be competitive. We will do drills to help players see how to use their already learned shots, this team will workout and train for tournaments with the intention of establishing or improving their state ranking. Players will meet twice a week, to hit a large quantity of balls, work on conditioning, balance, speed and agility. Players will be encouraged to do additional training on their own with other team members and to attend USTA/North Carolina tournaments. Scholarships are available through the Raleigh Tennis Association. Call for additional details.
JTT Prep 10U – M/W 5:00pm – 6:30pm Course Number 155031
Designed for All 10 and under tennis players who have learned all shots, this person will work out and train for tournaments with the intention of establishing or improving their ranking. Players will meet to hit a large quantity of balls, work on conditioning, balance, speed and agility. Players will be encouraged to do additional training on their own with others. USTA/North Carolina tournaments and leagues encouraged. Includes a pre and post Tennis Analysis at start and at end of the session. The Class is seven weeks.
In this course we will be practicing/working on principles that will lead to average speeds of 35-45 MPH, Consistency of 10 shots in a row, half court control deep and wide, Orange and Regular balls will be used in the class, 10U court, Tactics to use at this level, foot work, conditioning, balance, speed and agility.
JTT Prep 12U – M/W 6:30pm – 8:30pm Course Number 155032
Designed for All 12 and under tennis players who have learned all shots, this person will work out and train for tournaments with the intention of establishing or improving their ranking. Players will meet to hit a large quantity of balls, work on conditioning, balance, speed and agility. Players will be encouraged to do additional training on their own with others. USTA/North Carolina tournaments and leagues encouraged. Call for additional details. Includes a Tennis Analysis at start of class and at end of session. The Class is seven weeks.
In this course we will be practicing/working on principles that will lead to average speeds of 45-55 MPH, Consistency of 25 shots in a row, 1/3 court control power, deep and wide, Green DOT and Regular balls will be used in the class, Full court, Tactics and Strategies to use at this level, Strength building, foot work, conditioning, balance, speed and agility.
JTT Prep 14U – T/TH 7:00pm – 8:30pm Course Number 155033
Designed for All 14 and under tennis players who have learned all shots, this person will work out and train for tournaments with the intention of establishing or improving their ranking. Players will meet to hit a large quantity of balls, work on conditioning, balance, speed and agility. Players will be encouraged to do additional training on their own with others. USTA/North Carolina ranking for 12 and under tournaments required if age is under 12. Call for additional details. Includes a Tennis Analysis at start of class and at end of session. The Class is seven weeks.
In this course we will be practicing/working on principles that will lead to greater competitiveness (point system for ranking), average speeds of 55-65 MPH, Consistency of 50 shots in a row, 1/4 court control spin, power, depth and width, Regular balls will be used in the class, Full court, Spin Tactics and Strategies to use at this level, Strength building, foot work, conditioning, balance, speed and agility.
High School / College Prep – T/TH 8:30pm – 10:00pm Course Number 155034
Designed for All ranked 3.0 or higher tennis players (mostly High School players and Adults) who have learned all shots. This person has played or is playing on a High school/College Team or is in a 3.0 – 5.0 team/ladder or league. This person will work out and train for tournaments and league play with the intention of establishing or improving their ranking. Players will meet to learn spins, tactics, and strategies that go along with those spins, hit a large quantity of balls, and work on conditioning, balance, speed and agility. Players will be encouraged to do additional training on their own with others. USTA/North Carolina ranking for tournaments preferred required if under 14. Call for additional details. Includes a Tennis Analysis at start of class and at end of session. The Class is seven weeks. This is design for teams that want to get ready to qualify for the State / Regional / and National seasons. This is also a great way to identify the skills of members trying out for your teams.
In this course we will be practicing/working on principles that will lead to average speeds of 65-75 MPH, Consistency of 100 shots in a row, 1/5 court control height, spin, power, depth and width, Regular balls will be used in the class, Full court, Professional Tactics and Strategies to use at this level, Strength building, foot work, conditioning, balance, speed and agility.
Tennis USTA Jr. Team Tennis Description: Come to try outs at Millbrook Exchange Tennis Center to be placed on a team. Practices run once a week after school and matches are on Saturday mornings finishing with the tournament. Players must also pay USTA annual membership($20) + local league fee ($16). |
